The 7 Tools
Background Remover is our flagship tool. Upload any photo and get a clean cutout in under two seconds. It handles hair, transparent objects, and complex edges with precision that rivals manual masking. Image Upscaler takes low-resolution images and enhances them up to 4x using AI super-resolution — perfect for rescuing old product photos or preparing social media assets from small originals.
Generative Fill lets you select any region of your image and replace it with AI-generated content guided by a text prompt. Need to swap out a distracting background object or add a prop to a product shot? Describe what you want and the AI paints it in seamlessly. Generative Expand works similarly but extends your image beyond its original borders — ideal for creating banner-sized assets from square photos without awkward stretching or repetition.
Magic Select uses AI segmentation to identify and isolate any object in your image with a single click. No manual lasso work, no pen tool paths. Image Crop offers preset aspect ratios for every major platform (Instagram, YouTube thumbnails, LinkedIn banners) plus freeform control. Photo Brush combines erase and restore capabilities — paint over unwanted elements to remove them, or restore areas you previously edited.

When you need more, paid plans start at an accessible price point with volume discounts for teams and businesses. We intentionally kept the free tier high enough to be genuinely useful — not a teaser that forces an upgrade after one image.
The bgeraser API
Every tool available in the web editor is also accessible via our REST API. Developers can integrate background removal, upscaling, or any other operation directly into their apps, e-commerce platforms, or automation workflows. The API uses simple multipart uploads and returns processed images in seconds.
Authentication is handled via API keys generated in your dashboard. Responses include the processed image URL plus metadata like dimensions and processing time. We provide official examples in Node.js, Python, and cURL, with community SDKs emerging for other languages.
Rate limits are generous for production use, and our infrastructure auto-scales to handle burst traffic. Whether you're processing 10 images or 10,000, the API delivers consistent sub-3-second response times.
What's Next
